North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region recently signed a cooperation agreement with South China’s Hainan province, to provide high-quality grain for Hainan, according to the region’s grain bureau.
Inner Mongolia produces a large volume of grain and oil products, and they are reputed to be of high quality. However, Hainan province is located in the southernmost part of the Chinese mainland, and mainly relies on grain from other places.
Hainan is currently developing itself into an international tourist destination and now has higher requirements for grain and oil products, in both quantity and quality.
The two places will strengthen cooperation in grain production and marketing, in order to promote regional cooperation.
