2017 Real Wuxi Food brings food party to Meili town

The exhibition poll and awards ceremony of 2017 Real Wuxi Food was held in Meili town of Wuxi, Jiangsu province on Nov 12.

Sponsored by Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Wuxi Municipal Agricultural Commission, the event showed the process and culture of traditional Wu food, aiming to build the Jiangnan food brand in Meili town of Wuxi.

After five-month screening, 120 dishes from 52 restaurants entered the final, including famous Wuxi Grand Hotel, Sanfengqiao, Wang Xing Ji and Meili snake restaurant Sheng Ji San Rang Rice Ball, Cai A'shui mutton.

All of the restaurants showed their specialty dishes in the competition, attracting plenty of local citizens to come and taste the delicacies.

The food competition invited five professional judges to appraise the 120 dishes on aspects such as color, flavor, taste and nutrients and vote for awards such as Quality Reputation Award, Chain Brand Award, Process Innovation Award, Future Shock Award and the Craftsman Award.
