Wuxi Zoo and Taihu Lake Amusement Park is a national 4A tourist attraction located at No 99 Qianrong Rd, Binhu district, covering 520,000 square meters, at an investment of 450 million yuan ($68.43 million).
It is the only theme park in East China with an animal ecology exhibition, science popularization site, animal conservation, and a large recreation and leisure area.
More than 1,000 rare wild animals can be found there, including Asian elephants, giant pandas, leopards, black chimpanzees and white rhinoceroses.
A sightseeing elevator connects the zoo with the amusement park.
Opening hours: 8:30 – 17:00; last entry 16:00
Tickets: 100 yuan ($15.21), half price for children with a height between 1.2 and 1.5 meters, and free entry for children with heights below 1.2 meters and those aged above 70.
