6. Tourism
Aiming at building an international cultural and tourist city, Yangzhou is accelerating its pace to construct quality tourist zones and holiday services. It is focusing on building the Slender West Lake into a world-class tourist destination and sorting out canal cultural and tourism resources to layout a series of tourist resorts and ethnic cultural tourism towns with characteristic themes.
It is speeding up the building of a "Seven River and Eight Island" region, Guazhou and Baoying Lake resorts, as well as a hot spring hotel and relaxation projects.
The city endeavors to complete the urban tourist public service system, enhance the attractiveness and internationalization of tourism, and achieve higher tourist satisfaction.
We can provide:
1. Policy support. We can offer policy guidance and support in major tourist project construction and commercial tourism development. In particular, our support will focus on land supply, taxation, subsidies and financial preference in projects settled in holiday resorts and characteristic towns.
2. Talent support. We have eight colleges and universities that offer tourism studies and relevant majors. The Jiangsu Institute of Tourism and Hospitality will implement foreign enrollment, which may further enlarge the local talent pool capacity in tourism management.
3. Market advantage. Yangzhou is a major tourist city in Jiangsu. In 2016, more than 5.63 million people visited Yangzhou and created total tourist revenue of some 70 billion yuan. It was a reflection of Yangzhou's attractiveness in tourism with unique features and great potential in the Yangtze River Delta region.
