Shenyang Forest Zoological Garden is a national first-grade zoological park approved by the State Forestry Bureau and Construction Bureau where people can enjoy the company of animals. It is a national 4A tourist attraction.

Located in Qipan Mountain scenic area, the 2.4 million-square-meter zoo opened to visitors in 2010 and is a national research base for artificial reproduction of red-crowned cranes.
