2901 is the largest coast guard vessel in China, and is designed with a displacement of more than 10,000 tons. As a coordinating body for maritime search and rescue in territorial waters, it is equipped with a 76-mm rapid-fire naval gun, two turrets and two antiaircraft machine guns. Its speed, endurance, impact resistance and seaworthiness are well advanced among those of neighboring countries.
