Education group to boost Xiamen's basic education industry

Xiamen-based ITG Education Group, the first municipal education group in Xiamen, was inaugurated in the city's International Convention and Exhibition Center on Nov 25.

The education group is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Xiamen ITG Holding Group, one of the Fortune 500 companies with a registered capital of 800 million yuan ($120.8 million).

Although, in recent years, Xiamen has actively developed its education industry by investing more capital, enlarging the scale, and balancing educational resources, there are still limitations for the industry, such as inadequate preschool education and insufficient resources for high schools.

The ITG Education Group is dedicated to improving Xiamen's education system and playing a vital role in developing educational investment and finance, exploring educational reform and enhancing teaching quality.

Head of the education group said that the group plans to introduce renowned education institutions from home and abroad and establish outstanding schools with advanced teaching principles so as to offer different teaching services to students of all ages.

He affirmed that mid and high-end kindergartens, special high schools and extra-curricular tutorials will be their main targets.

Besides, internet education, smart education and vocational education will be their exploring fields so as to expand the city's education industry chain and enhance the service level of Xiamen's education industry.

During the opening ceremony, the group also announced the establishment of an education industry fund to attract and integrate all sorts of educational resources in a bid to promote the development of the city's education industry.
