Hulan Estuary Wetland Park, located in the northeast of Harbin, gets its name from the estuary where the Hulan and Songhua rivers meet. In 2014, the park was selected as a national 4A scenic site, a national-level wetland park and a national-level ecotourism demonstration site. Occupying 38.5 sq km, the park hosts water features totaling 25 sq m. Five sightseeing areas provide views of the natural landscapes, an aquatic sports center, a traditional culture park, and facilities that provide tourists with accommodation, transportation, dining, shopping and entertainment. The well-equipped aquatic sports center spans 2 million sq m. With its numerous bodies of water meeting national quality standards, the park held the U.I.M.F1 World Championship Grand Prix of Harbin in 2016 and 2017.
