Qingshan district, one of the oldest districts in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is now relying on innovation and entrepreneurship to boost regional employment and the economy, with the hosting of a series of related training sessions and the setting up of pioneer parks in the district.
Now the district boasts a total of 14 innovation and entrepreneurship parks and incubation bases, taking up 24.4 percent of the city total. Among the innovation parks and incubation bases, two are autonomous region-level.
The district also issues special loans to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. To date, a total of 3.21 million yuan ($485,200) has been issued to 25 college and university graduates in the district.
Furthermore, the latest information technologies have been employed to facilitate innovation and entrepreneurship including the launch of a management information platform which integrates functions such as registration for training.
