Jilin provides platform for manufacturers to extend globally

The Equipment Manufacturing and International Capacity Cooperation Conference, held during the China-northeast Asia Expo, kicked off in Nanhu Hotel in Changchun, Jilin province on Sept 2.

The conference aims to further promote Jilin's international production capacity and equipment manufacturing cooperation with the world.

At the conference, China FAW Group Import and Export Co., Ltd, signed a Letter of Intent on cooperation with five companies to set up an overseas investment company, which will bring new opportunities for China FAW Group and will help Jilin's automobile industry extend globally.

After the signing ceremony, government officials and enterprise representatives from abroad, including Croatia, Cambodia and Equatorial Guinea, introduced their investment policies, environment and projects.

A project matchmaking meeting will also be held during the conference.

Cong Hongxia, director of the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, hosted the conference. Chen Weigen, deputy director of the Standing Committee of Jilin Provincial People's Congress and officials from China's Ministry of Commerce gave speeches.

Nearly 400 overseas and domestic government officials and business representatives were present.
