The 10th China International Recreational Fishery and Aquarium Expo was held in Xiamen, Fujian province from Nov 3 to 6, and attended by representatives from over 150 enterprises from home and abroad.
With an area of 11,000 square meters, the expo set up 560 standard booths and several pavilions including a fishing village, outdoor fishing, water sports, ornamental fishes, and fisheries culture to display the products of recreational fishery and marine entertainment industry.
Centering on entertainment and physical exercise, the recreational fishery is part of recreational agriculture and is also one of the five major branches for the modern fishery industry, and it has become the best way to transform and restructure the fishery industry.
The expo has been running for ten years and this year, the expo was dedicated to promoting the upgrading of recreational fishing, offshore fishing and marine entertainment industry.
The recreational fishery pavilion tends to be more leisurely, offshore fishing pavilion lower in price and water sports pavilion is more interactive.
Compared to the previous expos, this year's expo also held a collection of recreational fishery forums, brand launch events and representative assemblies of related associations.
A diverse blend of interactive activities was organized, such as parents and children catching fish and shrimp, making music boxes by themselves, and canoeing and diving under the guidance of professionals.
The expo was sponsored by China Recreational Angling Association, Oceanic and Fishery Department of Fujian Province, and Xiamen municipal government.
