Baogang Group sets new record in export volume

Baogang Group marked new progress in its steel product exports with 1.34 million tons of steel products exported to 51 countries during the first ten months of 2017, Baotou Daily reported on Nov 15.

A total of 776,200 tons were exported to 20 countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, accounting for 57.8 percent of the total volume of exports.  

Baogang Group, or Baotou Iron and Steel Group, is an iron and steel State-owned enterprise based in Baotou. It is the largest steel business based in the autonomous region, and one of the oldest iron and steel industrial bases in China, with a large production base of iron and steel, and the largest scientific research and production base for rare earth metals in China.
