The 8th CCTV Entrepreneurial Summit – Wuxi station was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu province on Nov 10.
Sponsored by CCTV-7 agricultural program, Wuxi government and Wuxi Bureau of human resources and social security, the summit was held to promote the entrepreneurial examples of the year and share their successful experiences to further promote the entrepreneurial spirit of being energetic.
More than 1,000 people attended the summit, including representative of small and medium-sized enterprises from Jiangsu province, Zhejiang province, Shanghai and Anhui province and college students from Wuxi.
A total of five entrepreneurs shared their business stories of enterprise pioneering and becoming rich.
Yang Shuchun, comes from Wuxi and was selected by the Chinese Foreign Ministry as a diplomat when he graduated as a Spanish major from Peking University.
However, instead of being a diplomat, Yang started his business by selling ingredients on the Internet. Yang successfully has his own business now and shared his startup story in UN.
Wu Jinming has successfully built an integrated sharing platform for logistics enterprises in Wuxi and changed from an ordinary farmer to an entrepreneur with his company's total annual revenue reaching 1.193 billion yuan ($180 million).
Liu Huiping developed his steamed bun stand from a small shop to a company which sells 1.9 billion buns annually.
Du Shuwen sells sea cucumbers nationwide and Zhao Liang exports Huaniu apples from East China's Gansu province to 13 foreign countries.
"Wuxi welcomes entrepreneurs to start their businesses here and promote the economy and transformation of traditional industries in Wuxi", said Huang Qin, vice president of Wuxi municipal government.
"We hope more entrepreneurs promote good business policies and Wuxi's environment." Huang added.
