Beijing International Film Festival
The Beijing International Film Festival is a film festival held every April in Beijing, China. Founded in 2011, the film festival is supported and sponsored by the government of the Municipality of Beijing.
The festival since its launch has been heavily attended by Hollywood executives, directors, producers and studio heads. As China's box office has expanded exponentially over the past decade, the festival is aiming to provide a high-profile forum for the interaction between the Chinese and the international film industries.
China Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE)
The China Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE), an international gala of the cultural and creative industry organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-Council (CCPIT Beijing), has been launched with the approval of Ministry of Culture, PRC, State General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, The People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, involving efforts of 28 Beijing municipal government commissions, offices and bureaus including the Publicity Department of the Beijing CPC Municipal Committee.
China Beijing International High Tech Expo
China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC) is a major national hi-tech expo that takes place every May in Beijing. It is an event approved by China’s State Council, sponsored by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (formerly known as Ministry of Information Industry), China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), State Intellectual Property Office and the city government of Beijing, and organized by the Beijing Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
Beijing International Tourism Festival (BITF)
Beijing International Tourism Festival (BITF)is a large-scale tourism festival which is hosted by Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development. Since 1998, we have successfully held 18 BITFs in Beijing.
A lot of foreign & domestic friends will participate in the grand gala celebrating the festival. This festival exhibits the flavor of each country based on the folk communication on culture as well as art between other countries and Beijing. A very good opportunity will be provided for them to experience the abundant tourism resources of Beijing.
"Meet in Beijing” Arts Festival
An international arts festival held yearly in Beijing. The festival aims at promoting cultural exchanges by presenting Chinese culture while introducing international arts.
Festival events and programs take place throughout Beijing and its suburbs. For example, the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Poly Theatre, Tsinghua University, PLA Theater. We also produce live concerts or music festivals in the National Stadium, Chaoyang Stadium, Tongzhou Canal Park and the Capital Steel Factory.
It consists of indoor events, including opera, dance, music, drama and exhibition as well as outdoor events, such as music and dance.
The festival is hosted by China’s Ministry of Culture, Beijing Municipality Government and the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television. The Festival was inaugurated in 2000 and held from late April to the end of May annually.
Beijing International Marathon
The Beijing Marathon is an annual marathon race of 42.195 km held in October in Beijing, People's Republic of China. The race was first held in 1981 and has been held every year since. The race begins at Tian’an’men Square and finishes at the National Olympic Sports Centre stadium. Beijing Marathon is now a full marathon only marathon race. At the 2009 edition of the race, 4897 runners finished the marathon course, which included 556 women.
The race holds an IAAF Gold Label Road Race, one of three marathons in the People's Republic of China to receive the distinction (along with the Xiamen International Marathon and Shanghai Marathon). It is AIMS-certified course, making it eligible for world record performances. It hosted the Asian Marathon Championship races in 2006.
The 2014 edition of Beijing International Marathon was held on October 19 under intense smog. Many marathoners used face masks and sponges to help their performance.
