Students test vocational skills in Hohhot

The opening ceremony of the 2017 Secondary Vocational Schools Skills Competition was held at Hohhot Commerce and Tourism Vocational School on Nov 12.

A total of 2178 students from 36 secondary vocational schools competed in the skills competition, which will end on Nov 15.

Students were required to showcase their skills in the fields of auto repair, dance, calligraphy, and cooking.

The competition invited teachers from higher vocational school, experienced engineers and experts from related areas as the judges. 

Education bureau and human resources and social security bureau in Hohhot has hosted the event since 2007 to build a platform for students to exchange their vocational skills.

The competition has been a platform for vocational schools to showcase their achievements in cultivating talents, and it is expected to promote the spirit of craftsmanship in the city.
