Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com (JD) recently announced that it will cooperate with a Harbin-based pharmaceutical wholesaler to establish a pharmaceutical cloud warehouse in the city’s Limin Development Zone.
It will be the first of its kind in Northeast China when it commences operations.
According to information from JD, the cloud warehouse will serve pharmaceutical production companies, wholesale enterprises, pharmacies, hospitals and health stations –– providing complete pharmaceutical logistics supply-chain solutions involving medical acceptance, storage, transportation and distribution.
Harbin Zhengda Longxiang Pharmaceutical Co is JD’s partner in Harbin, and it is a representative pharmaceutical wholesaler for Northeast China. It has warehouses covering an area of 15,000 square meters, and annual turnover of 1 billion yuan ($150.64 million).
JD will take full advantage of its logistics supply chain and infrastructure to establish a professional pharmaceutical logistics network, pushing forward the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Harbin, said a staff member from JD.
