Wuhai customs office starts operations

Officially approved by the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China, Wuhai in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region started conducting customs business on Nov 8.

Wuhai’s application for a customs office in the city was approved by the State in October 2014. The office mainly oversees the customs affairs of Wuhai and three other towns located in Alshaa League and Ordos.

An industrial city in western Inner Mongolia, Wuhai plays an important role in the country’s infrastructure programs, including the Belt and Road Initiative and the development of the western regions. With an abundance of coal resources and convenient transportation, the city offers many advantages to industry.

With the establishment of Wuhai customs, eight leagues and cities in the central and western parts of Inner Mongolia will be provided with customs services.
