Baotou charity activity attracts 1,000 participants

Some 1,000 volunteers collected fallen leaves around Saihantala Park in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, during a charity activity on Oct 28, according to bt.wenming.cn.

The leaves collected will be sent to herdsmen in the city for use as food for livestock during the winter.

Hosted by the environmental protection bureau of Baotou, the activity runs for one month with collections taking place every Saturday and Sunday.
