Citizens of Lingbao county, Sanmenxia recently received a series of free voluntary medical consultations, according to a report on Sanmenxia Daily on Oct 30.
The Lingbao Health and Family Planning Commission sent 24 medical experts and at least 50 volunteers to offer health-care services as part of a poverty alleviation policy through health promotion.
Over 20 notice boards were set up and 3,000 leaflets were handed out to introduce the poverty-relief policies. A group of 30 residents from a deep mountain area in the southwestern suburb of Lingbao rushed to have the in person examination when they heard the news.
A total of 300 visits were made and the activity was highly appreciated by the citizens.
