The event was hosted by the local government.
Chi Junpeng, director of Lushunkou Taiyanggou Cultural Industry Park’s Management Committee, said the local government wants to set up a platform for farm product sales to expand sales channels to increase farmers' income.
Lushunkou plans to brand its leisure agricultural tourism and share in the new fruits of urban modern agriculture development, Chi added.
As a “land of fruit”, Lushunkou has cultivated apples for more than 100 years and is a popular travel destination for visitors from home and abroad. It has launched a series of activities combining agriculture, ecology and culture to promote coordinated development of tourism and other industries.
Meanwhile, with the festival activity as its medium, the green economy zone in Lushunkou will grow in quality.
