Hydrogen energy seminar held in Guangzhou

A special seminar on strategies for developing the hydrogen energy industry was held in Huangpu district in Guangzhou from Oct 27 to 28, with participation from representatives of enterprises and research institutes from both China and Germany.

Hydrogen energy is a type of clean energy with high energy density and zero pollution. Many countries in the world are pressing ahead with the exploitation and application of hydrogen energy which has a promising future.

For this seminar, Huangpu district invited many enterprises from both China and Germany which possess core technologies in hydrogen energy development and have great industrial advantages and application as well as promotion capabilities. The district also arranged match-making activities for companies and research institutes to seize the initiative to develop the hydrogen energy industry.

The seminar also saw the founding of three organizations including Guangdong China-Europe Enterprise Cooperation Promotion Center and Belt and Road Guangzhou Work Commission at China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector.

On Oct 28, six projects were signed covering the whole industrial chain of hydrogen energy industry. Those projects include those between Huangpu district and Chemnitz University of Technology to set up a Sino-Germany Energy Innovation Research Institute and a cooperative project between power generation company Guangzhou Hengyun Enterprises Holdings and Guangdong China-Europe Enterprise Cooperation Promotion Center to found a hydrogen energy innovation industrial park.
