Forum further stimulates Going Out to invest abroad

The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Forum on International Communication & Chinese (Guangdong) Companies Going Global will be held at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center from Nov 28 to 30.

Under the theme Cooperation, Communications & Value, the forum is a high-end exchange for international economic and trade cooperation with China, especially Guangdong Province.

An authoritative report will be released during the forum assessing implementation of the Going-Out strategy by Guangdong enterprises in the context of the Belt & Road Initiative. The strategy encourages Chinese companies to invest overseas.

In addition to the main forum, there will be seminars, an achievement exhibition, visiting tours, and thematic performance show.

Officials from national ministries and commissions and provincial offices, as well as international organization representatives, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and media managers will be invited.

The Publicity Department (Information Office) of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee is co-sponsoring the event, which will be organized and coordinated by an executive commission set up by Zhuhai.

The State Council Information Office, Guangdong provincial government, and Xinhua News Agency are guiding the activity with support from UNESCO's International Center for Creativity & Sustainable Development and the Europe-China One Belt, One Road Culture & Tourism Development Committee.

The initiative is also backed by the provincial Development & Reform Commission, Department of Commerce, Department of Culture, Foreign Affairs Office, Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office, and Guangdong International Trade Promotion Committee.
