The Wuxi government launched the Legal Knowledge Introduction Platform on Oct 20, to provide legal information and services to local residents.
The online platform connects the city's judicial department, law enforcement department, grassroots units and local residents, with the aim of introducing legal knowledge to people according to their specific needs.
The websites and WeChat accounts of Wuxi's judicial department and law enforcement department have been linked with the platform and an independent webpage has been created for the two departments to update legal information.
Wuxi also plans to make legal information more widely available by installing LED screens in local villages and residential communities, which will display content from the legal knowledge platform.
Wuxi municipal law publicity office has also reached agreements with local districts, counties, universities, and legal service agencies, stating that these organizations are expected to release the latest legal information, answer legal questions and provide products related to legal education on the platform.
The platform also integrates more than 38,000 professional lawyers around China who can offer real-time legal services via the platform's online legal services section.
Users can enjoy free consultations with local lawyers for 15 minutes if they enter the platform's online legal service section.
