Large diameter telescope tested in Changchun

A two-meter large caliber SiC adaptive optical telescope has recently past initial appraisal and been installed in a test tower to connect with other adaptive optical devices.

The newly invented telescope, with the help of other optical devices, can overcome the serious optic pollution in urban areas and obtain high-quality imaging results.

The telescope was manufactured by the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, CAS, which will continue to work on larger diameter ground-based optical telescopes.
