A special 24-hour library opened to the public on Oct 25, enabling Guangzhou residents to read or borrow books anytime they want.
The Yuanchuang Coffee Library is the first 24-hour library in Guangzhou and covers an area of more than 1,000 square meters. Apart from providing reading areas for visitors, the library also features function zones for companies to hold road shows, reading bars, a fitness area and a children's zone.

According to the spokesperson for Yuanchuang Coffee Library, visitors can do a lot in the library from reading, negotiating for business contracts to even staying overnight.
Huangpu district has been committed to building multi-dimensional library network and improving public library services. This year alone, the district has lured nearly 9.6 million yuan ($1.5 million) private capital to the public culture service sector and the libraries set up in the district have received thumbs-up from numerous local residents.
As of now, the total number of libraries in Huangpu district has reached 15 and by the end of this year, five more libraries will be built in the district including one special virtual reality (VR) digital library.
