Hu Zhaoxia, a delegate to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) from Ningbo, pointed out the importance of overall improvement in society's opening up.
Hu is a policewoman at Beilun branch of Ningbo Public Security Bureau. "As a Ningbo citizen, I've witnessed the city's changes over the past five years," she said, adding that Ningbo is developing into a livable city with a great sense of happiness.
For the future of Ningbo, Hu cited a phrase from General Secretary Xi Jinping's report at the 19th CPC congress which is "making new ground in pursuing opening up on all fronts".
Ningbo is a port city with profound cultures. Hu thinks that with the city's rich cultural and port resources, as well as a convenient environment for business operation, it will finally become a globally known port city and a highly civilized place in East China.
"As a coastal city with many ports, Ningbo is working hard to fulfill the role of Zhejiang's first pilot zone for projects connected to China's Belt and Road initiative," Hu said. She expressed her expectation on Ningbo's further opening up, "we are looking forward to a more open and beautiful Ningbo."
