Third Wellington Chinese Education Festival ends

The Third Wellington Chinese Education Festival ended in Tianjin on Oct 23.

Beginning with the festival's opening on Oct 20, more than 40 guests from all around the world gave over 90 speeches about education.

The Wellington Education Festival comes from the British Wellington College. Held seven times over the years, it first came to China in 2015.

Its focus is early education and happiness (involving both physical and mental health). Developing a sense of romance and adventure in education is the theme of this year's edition.

Chinese and foreign educational seniors talked about bilingual education and the value of education under different cultural backgrounds.

Tianjin Wellington International College was established in 2011, and is the first overseas college for Wellington College. In 2014, Shanghai Wellington International College welcomed its first students. Then, in 2016 and 2017, Shanghai and Tianjin established the Wellington International Kindergarten. A Hangzhou Wellington International College will open in 2018.
