Baotou-produced snow blower sold to Heilongjiang province

A tank-like snow blower produced in Baotou has expanded its market with the successful sale of one to Heilongjiang province in northeast China, according to Baotou Daily on Oct 24. 

Produced by Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group, the jet turbine snow blower is equipped with an aircraft engine to blow away snow on roads. The snow blower can reach an average speed of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour. Residents lined the streets to take photos of the unique machine. 

Based in Baotou, Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group was one of the 156 key projects established during the first Five-Year Plan period (1953-1958), and the largest equipment manufacturer in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
