As the 2017 Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Elite Trophy Zhuhai opens on Oct 31, the accompanying Zhuhai Food Festival promises to serve up quite a variety of culinary thrills.
Hosted by the Chinese Tennis Association and Zhuhai government, the highest-level tennis tournament in South China is undertaken by Huafa Group. It runs at the Hengqin International Tennis Center until Nov 5.
About 100 m away is the food festival venue arranged by Huafa Group and the Zhuhai Restaurant Association under the guidance of city Tourism Development Center. It will offer 50 classical dishes from 10 famed local restaurants.

Participating are ChangSheng Abalone Restaurant and Guomu Roasted Duck Fast Food led by famous cook Chang Sheng; Dachikan Roast Pork known as the most delicious of its kind in Zhuhai; Bashu Lao Chuan Fang Sichuan Restaurant integrating local and Sichuan cuisine; Ban Ku Restaurant known for delicacies from across China; Sheping Restaurant dedicated to Cantonese style seafood; Yue Chinese Restaurant (Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel) serving classic dishes with contemporary presentations; Zhuhai's time-honored Xin Hai Li Seafood Restaurant; Seafood Hot Pot Restaurant and the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center that presents creative dishes in sync with coastal sceneries.
Each will be led by their chef in chief and offer various styles of cooking using premium ingredients from around the world. A food carnival will liven things up after the day's battles have been fought on the courts.
