Hohhot to build museum of revolutionary history

The Museum of Inner Mongolian revolutionary history will be built at the former site of Yanjing Beer (Baotou Xuelu) Brewery Co Ltd in Hohhot, China Construction Eighth Engineering Division announced on Oct 18.

The Division, which won the bid to undertake the project, also announced the construction of a cultural complex including a library, an archive, an exhibition hall and a museum to be built in Hohhot's Saihan district. The two projects are worth more than 3.3 billion yuan ($497.7 million) in total.

The Museum of Inner Mongolian revolutionary history will cover an area of 136,727 square meters and is scheduled to be finished in 700 days.

With a floor area of 307.5 hectares and building area of 295,210 square meters, the cultural complex will be a new landmark in Hohhot.
