Bids to construct the 150-million-yuan ($23 million) Jinwan Comprehensive Archives project will be opened on Oct 20. The District Archives Bureau says work on the main part will begin next month, topping achieved by the year-end, and opening by 2019.
The proposed complex, which encompasses integrated, urban construction, and accounting storehouses, has an area of 14,000 sq m. The spread-wings-shaped structure site is located west of East Huanhe Road and north of Jinhe Avenue in Aviation New Town, facing the Central Lake to the west.
One of the key public culture center projects for the new town, the facility will improve Jinwan's archives management and service on behalf of economic and social development.
When completed, the archives complex will meet requirements for space, sophistication, multiple functions, security and confidentiality, convenient services, energy conservation, and environmental friendliness.
