On Oct 15, the China Minority Ethnicities Film Festival was inaugurated at Ejin Horo Banner Theater in Ordos, attracting directors, producers and other guests from the film and television industry.
The opening ceremony began with the song Return of the Steed, and continued with the long-tune folk song A Paean and an instrumental ensemble Eulogies of Genghis Khan; all of which celebrated Mongolian culture and the Mongolian people's love for their homeland, friends and family.
The festival invited dozens of outstanding performing artists from minority groups such as the actress Siqin Gaowa. During the festival, more than 30 excellent domestic films like Where is My Home, and Le Dernier Loup were on offer.
The four day festival featured events like countryside tours in search of inspiration for songs, meetings of Mongolian film and television personalities, and displays by an association of painters put on in addition to the films screenings.
