Sino-German Patent System Meeting held in Beijing

The Sino-German Patent System Meeting was held in Beijing on Oct 16. Patent examiners from the two countries' intellectual property (IP) offices reported on the revision of the Guidelines for Patent Examination in China and the patent examination under the German Industry 4.0 framework. 

He Hua, deputy commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) and Günther Schmitz, vice-president of German Patent and Trade Mark Office addressed the opening ceremony. More than 100 people from the two countries' industries attended the meeting. He Hua and the German delegation exchanged views on the topics of mutual interest in the field of intellectual property, and the two sides expressed their willingness to further strengthen cooperation in areas such as patent examination.
