Nine drop-offs created for shared cars in Doumen

WarmCar shared-use motorists from downtown Zhuhai can now return the car at any of the nine docking stations in Doumen District, where 30 such vehicles and 40 charging piles are in operation. A hundred WarmCar users are registered daily in Doumen.

Operated by Guangdong Southern Intelligent Transportation (GSIT), WarmCar is described as a new-energy ride-sharing rental platform providing environmentally friendly, convenient, and comfortable urban intelligent travel services. Customers can catch a ride by simply tapping the app on their smartphones. Docking stations are distributed in Xiangzhou, Jinwan, and Doumen districts, and recharging and returning the cars are allowed at any of these.

Doumen docking stations are located at the Jing'an Town Government Complex, Jing'an Town Service Center, parking lot of Doumen Catering Hotel, Doumen Rural E-commerce Park, Great Power Battery Technology Co, Golden Coast Hotel, Shili Lianjiang Agriculture Sightseeing & Experience Garden, #9 gate of Flextronics Manufacturing (Zhuhai) Ltd, and Che Gang Xing Garage.

WarmCars are constantly on the move. However, the company will adjust their number in the area according to demand, which has proved to be high so far, said Lin Qiuwei, marketing director of GSIT. As shown by a big data analysis, customers are mainly office workers and residents aged between 20 and 40.

Produced by Doumen-based Great Power Battery Technology Co, the batteries have endurance of more than 180 km, which basically satisfies one's need for daily travel throughout the city. A round trip between Doumen and downtown areas consumes only half of that electricity, Lin added.
