On Oct 16 the curtain dropped on the Lushunkou branch of the 2017 Dalian Housing Fair in Lushunkou Shida Square, with 203 million yuan ($30.68 million) in trade having been cemented, a 89.72 percent growth from the same period last year.
Two hundred and seventy-five units of commercial space were sold during the fair, 34.15 percent more than last year’s figure. The area of the commercial space was 26,300 square meters, up by 47.76 percent from a year earlier.
Half of the buyers were Lushunkou residents, another 10 percent were from Dalian, and the rest were from other areas.
The livable environment, with improved facilities, medical and education resources and a one-hour life circle (in which essential services are available within one hour of any residence), are the main reasons why buyers want to settle down in Lushunkou, which is situated on the southern tip of Liaodong peninsula in Dalian city.
Areas with perfect support facilities, such as Chunfengshili, Yida No.1 County and Jinyang Wandeli, attracted great interest. The Chinese-style Chunfengshili was most popular among buyers seeking accommodation for retirement or vacations. Due to a new school and the across-platform transfer to subway line 12, Yida No.1 county’s sales were also good.
The branch of the fair was a people-benefit platform launched by the Lushunkou government. It was meant to explore a new way of developing regional industry by combining real estate with tourism and culture.
