The government of Guiyang province will create 450,000 more jobs over the next three years as a part of a new poverty alleviation plan, according to the Guiyang Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.
The jobs are expected to increase the incomes of impoverished residents in the province. The local authority will also endeavor to improve the occupational abilities of impoverished residents for emerging industries requiring additional labor.
Industrial parks throughout the city will be granted subsidies for creating jobs for people in need.
The city also encourages residents to start their own businesses in the form of agricultural cooperatives and family farms to fuel rural employment.
Meanwhile, a registering system will be established for labor from poverty-stricken residents in Guiyang to ensure that the project will benefit those in need.
