Qingdao NPC delegation visits Qingdao Maritime Court

A national people’s congress Standing Committee delegation from Laixi in North China’s Qingdao City visited the Qingdao Maritime Court recently.

The delegation, led by Zhao Xisheng, director of the Standing Committee of the Laixi Municipal People’s Congress, checked the litigation service center and the meeting room of the judicial committee.

They also watched an informatization demonstration and work publicity video, and attended a conference to hear a report on trial and execution delivered by the court’s president.

The delegation commended the court’s work and made some proposals.

The Qingdao Maritime Court has made suggestions on implementation of development plans centering on construction of the Belt and Road initiative and marine economic development which make full use of its jurisdiction.

The court has also accepted media supervision initially in the form of holding media conferences and inviting NPC members to take part in “court open days” and attend court trials.
