Service outsourcing association helps create a special industry

The Service Outsourcing Association was established in Xiamen, Fujian province on Oct 11, aiming to strengthen the city's service outsourcing industry.

Acting as a communication bridge between government and enterprises, the association will fully use its coordination role to promote the transformation of Xiamen's economic structure and help the city become a gathering area for cross-Straits service outsourcing industry and a key city of service outsourcing in southeast China.

The coastal city's service trade generated over $8 billion during the first eight months this year, an increase of 34.5 percent year-on-year while the contract amount of service outsourcing industry reached approximately $1.6 billion, an increase of 46.58 percent year-on-year.

Xiamen has actively created a favorable environment for the industry since it was approved as a China's Service Outsourcing Demonstration City in 2010, while now the outsourcing industry has developed into a special industry in the city.

In the Eighth China Sourcing Summit held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province this year from Sept 28 to 29, a Xiamen engine service company listed as the ten major enterprises in China's service outsourcing industry, and the Singapore Technologies Engineering Co and Yealink Incorporation, a leading provider for unified communications solutions in China, ranked among the Top 100 Growth Enterprises in China's Service Outsourcing Industry.
