The Guangzhou administration for industry and commerce has made its business registration procedures more intelligent and efficient, adopting artificial intelligence technology and robotics (AIR), along with an online system on Oct 10, 2017.
Apart from facial identification, electronic signatures and intelligent examination, robots have been applied to help with applications and license printing and issuance. The whole process has been shortened to just 10 minutes.
The electronic registration system for enterprises based on big data and other information technologies, enabling applicants to complete 24-hour, paperless, online and effective application without having to make reservations and come to service counters. The applicants can register online, via an app or use robots in the service halls and bank outlets.
The system highlights five features, including big data and integrates identity authentication and government affairs and public security platforms.
The system was piloted by the Guangzhou administration for industry and commerce, industry and commerce departments in Yuexiu, Haizhu, Tianhe, Huangpu and Nansha districts, as well as at the Agricultural Bank of China and Guangzhou Rural Commercial Bank. It will be promoted across the city by the end of this year.
The moves come in response to the national call to gear up reforms to shape a more open environment for businesses.
