Zhuhai has top billing at international enterprise fair

Occupying 86 percent of the Guangdong Pavilion booths, Zhuhai is dominant at the 14th China International Small & Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF), which opened in Guangzhou on Oct 10.

Held every autumn in Guangzhou, the fair promotes "display, trade, exchange, and cooperation" for small and medium enterprises home and abroad to enhance the healthy development of SMEs in China.

Themed "Intelligent, Wisdom, Smart Manufacturing & Energy Conservation," this year’s event hosts 6,000 international standard booths in the 150,000-sq-m exhibition area. Seeking a change in the exhibition layout of the Guangdong Pavilion, the Bureau of China International Small & Medium Enterprises Fair designated Zhuhai as the major exhibit city with 60 booths while the other 10 are shared by Shaoguan, Qingyuan, and Jieyang.

Twenty Zhuhai enterprises from 12 different fields are displaying more than 90 products covering Internet of Things (IoT) applications, "smart" homes, printer manufacturing, chip research, development and production, new-energy technology, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) research, development and manufacturing, as well as intelligent security systems (ISS).

Some of the products and technologies have taken the lead in their respective industries; for example, the radio frequency identification (RFID) technology of Zhuhai Joinet Technology; self-developed printer and integrated circuit chip technology of Ninestar; face recognition technology of Zhuhai Yisheng Electronics; 3WD6-45 UAV with the largest bearing capacity, from Zhuhai Yintong UAV Technology; and coated and ultra-hard abrasive tools of Zhuhai Elephant Abrasives.

Overseas exhibitions by co-sponsored countries, international and Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan pavilions, plus domestic exhibitions comprised of provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and cross-border e-commerce pavilions were also set up at the Poly World Trade Expo Center (Guangzhou) from Oct 10 to 13.

The intelligent manufacturing and "Internet+," "smart" building materials and home deco, and energy conservation exhibitions will be held in two sessions at the Guangdong Tanzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center of Foshan respectively from Oct 12 to 15 and Oct 20 to 23. It will be the first time for CISMEF exhibitions to be held in a city other than Guangzhou.

Founded in 2004, CISMEF is hosted by the Ministry of Industry & Information Technology, State Administration for Industry & Commerce, and Guangdong provincial government. It has grown into an international SME gathering with the highest level, largest scale, and most wide-ranging influence in the Asia-Pacific region.
