Beijing honors two outstanding Zhuhai industrial parks

Zhuhai Southern Software Park in Tangjiawan and V12 Cultural & Creative Industry Park in Nanping have become the first in the city to be designated as National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Demonstration Bases for Small & Micro Enterprises.

The third-batch selection released in July by the PRC Ministry of Industry & Information Technology lists 103 bases from across the country. The successful operations in the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone are among four Guangdong entries because of their demonstrative roles in innovative practices of small and micro-sized enterprises.

The acknowledgement adds to Southern Software Park's standing as a National Maker Space and National Technology Business Incubator, said an official from the industrial development zone.

The national software industrial base is one of 11 of its kind in China, subordinate to China Electronics Corp (CEC), a large-scale state-owned enterprise headquartered in Beijing. It provides services to help Chinese software go global by offering a top-quality living and working environment.

The park has taken 10 years to develop a mature industrial venue centering on software research, integrated circuit (IC) design, mobile internet, intelligent equipment, and e-commerce.

The number of small and medium-sized enterprises being aided in setup at the park reached 210 while 50 in higher development stages have been identified as China's High & New-Technology Enterprises (HNTE).

The base houses 10 listed companies: Dingli Corp (former Communications Corp), Zhuhai Orbita Control Engineering, Tonne Technology, Allwinner Technology, Guangdong Flying Enterprise Internet Technology, Zhuhai Valwell Electric Technology, Ximo Electric Inc of Zhuhai, SGSG Science & Technology, Advanced Fiber Resources (Zhuhai), and Guangdong Dingyi Interconnection Company of Science & Technology.

Furthermore, more than 10 outstanding entrepreneurship and innovation teams have emerged with the help of integrated business services and comprehensive offices.

The achievements were credited by a park manger to three maker spaces, one incubator, and one accelerator. At each site, startups receive public instruction services regarding finance and taxation, staffing, intellectual property, law, technology, information, and marketing.

Such counseling sessions were held more than 170 times, benefiting 16,000 businesspeople and more than 2,000 nearby businesses of all development sizes, therefore promoting in-depth exchanges and cooperation in technology, business, and capital.

On the other hand, Zhuhai V12 Cultural & Creative Industry Park is among one of the country's first groups of demo cultural and creative industrial parks. Current resources achieve the layout of "a core park, five bases, and nine platforms." The service park has become a favorable choice for startups to set up their ventures, including five small bases for software development, returned overseas scholars' venture startups, college students and youth entrepreneurship, small and medium-sized enterprise incubation, and the training of creative talents.
