Tianjin strives to develop GIS

With the upgrade of the Tianjin scientific and innovative platform, the total number of group innovation spaces (GIS) available is 139. Following the upgrade more than 5,400 entrepreneur teams entered GIS, and 2,500 new enterprises were registered in them.

To date, the numbers of engineering centers, key laboratories, high-tech business incubators and productivity promotion centers are 231, 296, 76 and 85 respectively.

According to the management committee of Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city, Beihang Investment and the management committee recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote the construction of Beihang Xingkong GIS.

Xingkong GIS is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Beihang Investment, located in the animation industrial park B incubator building. The first 10 projects will soon be introduced.

Xingkong GIS will establish a service platform with the advantages of Beihang University and Beihang investment.

Since 2015, Tianjin has been enhancing GIS to help young entrepreneurs and college students run their own businesses. Tianjin will now further enhance the construction of scientific and technology infrastructure, new research and development organizations and transformation platforms for scientific and technological achievements.
