With a headquarters newly launched in Hengqin New Area, the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) intends to establish a leading domestic and world-renowned global information data service platform by 2019.
The groundbreaking ceremony for China Free Trade Zone Infoport Tower was held in Hengqin on Sept 29. The project is headed by China Free Trade Zone Infoport (Hengqin) Corp, with the Hengqin headquarters expected to appeal and draw an array of information data and internet enterprises and technological institutions.
By establishing a strong system of information collection, processing, transmission, trade, and release, the infoport will expand the flows of technology, capital, talent, and goods.
Initiated by Southern Finance Omnimedia Corp, Zhuhai Da Heng Qin Co Ltd, and Shenzhen Press Group, the headquarters will integrate the FTZ information resources of Guangdong, China, and the world. The companies will push forward construction of the FTZ, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and Belt & Road Initiative, and also play a positive role in helping China have a say in global economy, said a local official.
