GDUFS to branch out in Zhanjiang

Zhanjiang Foreign Language School, an affiliated school of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), will be launched in Suixi county, according to a tripartite agreement signed by the local government, the university and Huabang Holdings Group on Sept 26.

Positioned to be an international bilingual school, it will combine domestic teaching guidelines with international curriculums for the preschool and nine-year compulsory education period.

In the meantime, its high school will bring in mainstream courses from different countries such as the US and Canada, to foster internationalized students for first-class universities.

Upon completion, the school will greatly ease the pressure of local students to be enrolled, while promoting the teaching quality of Suixi.

Known as a major internationalized university in South China, GDUFS is dedicated to cultivating globally-minded students and conducting research on international languages, literature, culture and trade.

With the signing ceremony as a starting point, the three parties will strengthen their communication and cooperation to realize the sharing of advantageous resources and further deepen educational reform, said Cui Qing, the vice mayor of Zhanjiang.
