Ecological parks to beautify and serve Fushan base

Sancun Wetland and Fushan Central parks will help fulfill the promises of ecological preservation in the rapidly developing Fushan Industrial Park in Qianwu and Doumen towns of Zhuhai.

The industrial park not only is dedicated to quality projects of high-end service, high-end manufacturing, and hi-tech industry, but to human enjoyment and environmental protection.

Covering more than 72,000 sq m, Sancun Wetland Park is to cost 30 billion yuan ($4.5million). While ensuring preservation and use of landform and scenery, it will receive a causeway, overwater foot planking, waterfront terrace, embankment, and boardwalks on the water and across reeds, according to a park executive.

Moreover, a beach, weatherproof corridor, and sandlot will be created at the lake. With the lotus pond, pathway across a bamboo grove, century-old bridge, and corridor, visitors can admire views changing with the seasons, especially lotus in summer and reed in autumn.

On behalf of leisure, entertainment, exercise, and sightseeing activities, the plan calls for a basketball court, bikeway station, cultural exhibition hall, and observation deck to be built in the park.

Meanwhile, the 138,600-sq-m Fushan Central Park will run through Xincheng and Fucheng avenues, and Fudou and Fujin roads. In addition to large lawns, shelter forest, and wetland landscapes, it will have a leisure boardwalk, recreational square, landscape bridge, leisure center, landscape stool, and five-a-side soccer pitch.

Furthermore, a large-scale parking lot, miniature firehouse, and refuse transfer station will also be in place to consummate support facilities in Fushan New Town.

At present, the planning and rendering of Sancun Wetland Park have been completed, which are of high starting point, criteria, and quality. The park is to offer spectacular scenery.

Fushan Central Park will come under construction by the year’s end, while Sancun Wetland Park will follow next year.
