Agricultural trade fair concludes in Guiyang

The 2017 China Guiyang International Characteristic Agricultural Products Trade Fair was held in Guiyang from Sept 16 to 18, attracting a record 266,000 visitors.

According to statistics, 1,326 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions were engaged in the fair, including more than 1,100 enterprises from Guizhou province and 226 from outside the province.

Retail sales during the fair reached 178 million yuan ($27 million), and orders under signed agreements are expected to have a value of more than 2 billion yuan.

Based on a traditional sales exhibition, the fair expanded in breadth and depth of international exchanges and promoted the reputation of agricultural products in Guizhou.

It was also a platform to help Guizhou province fight against poverty and boost regional economy.
