An agriculture expo park located in Tumd Right Banner of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is fast becoming a tourist hotspot with more tourists from Baotou and neighboring cities flocking there for sightseeing, reports Baotou Daily.
Co-developed by the agriculture and animal husbandry bureau of the banner, and the banner’s culture, radio and tourism bureau, the expo park covers an area of 1,000 mu (66.7 hectares) and boasts more than 160 kinds of crops.
A total of 2.6 million yuan ($400,000) has been spent to develop the expo park into a modern agriculture demonstration base integrating functions including product displays and farm experiences.
“I heard about the place from my friends,” said Yang Yan, a Baotou resident visiting the park with her family.
“We enjoy the beautiful scenery here and have fun picking our own vegetables,” she added.
