Book reveals all about Hohhot film industry

A new book focusing on the development of the film industry in Hohhot went on sale Sept 13, on the occasion of the 26th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival.

The book, Hohhot and Chinese Films, is divided into seven chapters with more than 150 illustrations and over 200,000 words. It took nearly six months to finish with the support and suggestions of film experts.

In 1950, The Victory of Inner Mongolian People was released as China’s first ethnic-themed movie, and Inner Mongolia Film Studio was also the largest ethnic movie production center at the time, claimed Huang Yali, director of Hohhot organization department.

The book offers readers information concerning the history of the Hohhot film industry through the perspective of various analysts.
