The 3rd Trilateral Local Governments' Forum on Three Rural Issues will be held in Guizhou from Sept 16 to18, including three agricultural sub-forums to promote government exchanges and cooperation between China, the Republic of Korea and Japan.
Two previous forums were held in Chungcheongnam, Republic of Korea, and Shizuoka, Japan.
The forum will continue its former objective of the sustainable development of rural areas and agriculture. The local governments of the Republic of Korea and Japan will also use the forum as a platform to share successful policy cases for the Three Rural Issues.
More than 400 government officers from the three countries, representatives from the Food and Agriculture Organization and professional purchasers from the agriculture industry will attend the forum.
Officers attending the forum intend to launch a Guiyang initiative to promote the forum’s objective in the complex ecosystem of Guizhou's agricultural parks.
The forum is an extension of Guizhou's endeavor to continue its fruitful cooperation with the Republic of Korea and Japan, maintaining open channels for communication and cultural exchange.
