With an output of 439,300 tons, packaged drinking water enterprises above designated size in Hechi made 806 million yuan ($123 million) from January to July, up 21.42 percent year-on-year.
Blessed with a favorable natural environment, the city has given top priority to its drinking water industry in recent years, aiming to bolster it as a driving force of local economic development.
Bama, known as the "Town of Longevity", is the water source of multiple local famous drinking water brands, of which Bama Lifelong has been awarded as a "Famous Trademark of China".
There are currently 45 drinking water enterprises in Hechi, with six of them above designated size focusing on natural mineral and spring waters.
